Bunk HouseThen why not visit our Outdoor centre on the outskirts of Algonquin Park?

Operated in conjunction with our partner Chocpaw Expeditions, who have been providing recreational and educational dog sledding adventures in Canada's Algonquin Provincial Park for over 30 years, Spirit Point is a new wilderness facility located on a quiet lake on the northwest corner of Algonquin Park.  It is surrounded by wilderness, laced with trails that lead into the park. This is a quiet area where the forest folk are left relatively undisturbed.  Moose & deer, bear & wolf, and many smaller furred & feathered creatures abound in this pristine wilderness

Choose from a range of exciting activities, which may include climbing, rafting, kayaking, rapelling, team tasks, problem solving scenarios and orienteering, all facilitated by our experienced instructors.

Our 3 day residentials can also be tailored to fulfil the expedition requirements of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (Bronze practice and final, or Silver final). Please note that we are only able to accommodate group bookings of 12+

A sample outline itinerary for our $99 three day residential:

Day 1

Arrive at our Leadership and Development Centre (Spirit Point) at around noon for lunch. Camp orientation and ice-breakers. Afternoon activity (options include Rock-climbing, Raft building, Problem-solving scenarios, Orienteering etc) Evening activity (weather dependent)

Day 2

Prepare for an overnight hiking expedition in Algonquin Park. As with all of our programmes the students will manage the expedition, from ensuring they have collected all the provisions they require from our stores, to planning their route and ultimately leading their own expedition! As the World Challenge leader and your staff member step back into a facilitation role, watch as your team develops leadership and teamwork skills, learns about their equipment, hygiene and safety and challenges themselves.

Day 3

Rise early, break camp and head back to the Leadership and Development Centre (Spirit Point) for a well earned brunch before boarding your transport and heading home.
