Step 2 > 3-day training and selection course
After you've applied, your expedition experience begins with a fun 3-day training and selection course at our Leadership and Development Centre in Buxton. During this time you will be introduced to the skills you'll be developing on your expedition, including leadership, teamwork, decision-making and Money Management. It's also a chance to get to know us and for us to ensure that your choice of expedition is right for you.

Step 3 > Raising the funds
All our programmes are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of background. A fundamental part of going on expedition is to raise the funds to finance your trip by yourself rather than relying on your parents and we will provide as much support as possible to help you achieve your goal. See the Money Management section for more information.
Step 4 > Expedition Planning Meeting
Approximately two months before departure there is a day for Challengers and their parents to find out more about their expedition and to ask any questions. This offers not only the opportunity to get to know the other people going away with you, but you will also meet the Expedition Programme Manager, an expert on your destination.
Step 5 > Build-up phase
Before you leave for your expedition destination, you will have a build-up phase. This briefing session is an opportunity to get together with your team and Expedition Leader, go through your kit and receive information vital to the success of your expedition. Following the build-up you will head off to the airport and set off on your journey of a lifetime!
