Duke of Edinburgh's Award

This course is designed to equip you with the necessary assessment skills to act as a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition Supervisor. The course is based at World Challenge's Leadership & Development Centre in Buxton and is a mix of theory and practical sessions.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is very similar in ethos to the way Leaders operate with World Challenge's expeditions and therefore this course is also relevant to those

Expedition Supervisors Course
This course looks at the skills required for supervising Duke of Edinburgh's Award groups.

Modules included are:
The expeditions section of the Award
Remote supervision
Building a supervision plan
Safety and emergencies
Duty of care

This course does not replace technical qualifications like the ML, WGL, BELA, BCU Level 3 but fits alongside them. Delegates attending the course should either have the technical skills or NGB qualifications or should be working towards them.
